Feb 2018: Another Legionnaires’ outbreak in Melbourne – Cooling Towers
February 26th, 2018“The Legoinnaires’ outbreak on Friday indicates that something has gone wrong inside a cooling tower,” says Coolclean Managing Director, Darren Driscoll.
“If water treatment failed, so have mechanical components such as drift eliminators. In regard to cooling tower maintenance, we have to focus on secondary protection (mechanical components) as well as primary protection (water treatment). People should not get sick. Something is wrong. Get your drift eliminators checked,” he says.
